Lift!!
<trying to suppress obvious giddi-ness>
I just placed an order for a lift kit for my '77 ... I just can't wait for
the legal issues to be resolved and get my '72 finished, and I'd like to
force myself to take my time so...
Rocky Mountain Suspension - 1-800-521-4908 is placing an order with
Skyjacker at this moment..
$520 for the 4" Softride springs, bushings, U-bolts
$120 for 4 Heckethorn Hydro 8000s, purchased at the salesman's
recommendation over the Skyjacker Hydros.
They wanted $64 and $33 for front/rear Skyjacker brake lines - NOT DOT
APPROVED. The salesman had never heard of the spontaneous-rupture quality
of the braided stainless lines.. but in any manner...
I did NOT order those lines, and will instead follow advice given in past
digest postings about longer brake lines. I think they were even CHEAPER.. :-)
All of that comes with a $110 shipping charge! Those darn heavy springs.
Total was $740... my "toy" budget for the next two or three months.. :-(
Should be here in 7-10 UPS days.. so within two weeks, I'll have my lift
springs.. Yippee!
Time to go research those longer brake lines and go chat with NAPA...
Naturally, I'll take a few "before" and "after" pics to post on my website.. :-)
Maybe my "clunk" will go away with new bushings and such.. and it shouldn't
bounce around so badly like it does now with those shot shocks..
