back up out the top to the spigot and brush.  Temperature wise ( I
normally turn the heater off when the reservoir gets to 150 degs), it
works great, but the lye solution didn't work all that well.  I assume I
don't want to heat diesel or kerosene this way.  Any ideas?<

	For what it's worth, I've been real impressed with some of the new
citris degreasers on the market. Not only are they not flammable, they
smell pretty good (especially important if you have a significant other)
and they are biodegradable (sp?). They seem to work really well too. I
used some GUNK on a few things one day, ran out, then used some stuff I
had for cleaning the drivetrain on my Mt Bike. It worked **Way** better
than the GUNK. Only problem is the bike shop charges a fortune for a 22oz
bottle. I know you can get it through auto shops and catalogs like
NORTHERN Equipment though.
 My father likes to use diesel fuel and Marvel Mystery oil in his. I think
he uses some other ingredient too. As far as safety, I know you can
throw a match into a can of kerosene and the match will go out. it's not
nearly as volatile as regular gas.
