Colorado Trip
Good Morning,
Thanks all for the help with the headlight problem I was having in
Colorado. I had a long but almost incident free trip home. The only
problem was the scout completely died for about 2 seconds - no power no
electrical at all, then came back to life and was fine for the rest of
the trip - about 14 hours. I suspect the battery cable but plan on
replacing ALL the grounding wires that I can find with more positive
grounds.
Oh yeah and the speedo quit about 130 miles into the 900 mile trip, so I
think I drove faster :).(Honest officer, my speedo doesn't work). I
found that, with the hubs locked, I could shift from 4 hi to 2 hi no
problem, regardless of the speed. This proved very handy when I
encountered icy and snowy conditions which i don't have much experience
with. Monument Valley and the Valley of the Gods is worth the trip.
I saw no Scouts except Dave Cox's Scout anywhere UNTIL I got to Colorado,
then Scouts everywhere! In the town that I was visiting there were at
least 8 scouts/travellers and only 600 year-round residents. On the way
back in Northern AZ, I saw a Scout or Traveller with a Camper. Is that
someone on the Digest? Looked interesting.
Anyway, Happy New Year everyone
