Radiator blind

You'd be putting the blind in the wrong place. Just drop the cardboard down
in front of the radiator. You'll see many trucks going down the highway
with the grill covered by a vinyl cover that has an opening in it that can
be enlarged by  snapping back flaps of the vinyl. I don't think you need to
be too scientific in the pursuit of the right amount of air blockage. Start
with a blind that allows air to flow through a quarter of the radiator and
adjust from there. My first new car was a 59 Volvo 544 that had a window
blind installed at the bottom front of the radiator and a wire that came
inside the cab and allowed you to pull the blind up or let it down to
adjust the amount of air flow. And if that worked for the Swedes, it will
certainly handle anything we have.
