Jacobs Omni-pac

I have had an Omni-pac for a couple of years. It is not on the vehicle it
was originally used on, so I've decided to put it on my Scout. Note: this
is NOT the Omni Magnum or the Omni Coil. My Omni-pac has three wires: red
for the positive battery terminal, black for the negative, and a green one.
This is where my question comes up. For any of you guys who are running
the Omni-pac, where did you hook up the green wire? I thought it just
hooked up to the nut on the coil. I hooked it up this way, grounded the
coil with the wire provided so that it can easily be put back into action,
and ran the new wire from the Omni-pac to the coil terminal on the
distributor cap. I put in the fuse, jumped in, hit the ignition, and it
turned over but did not fire. I hooked everything back up stock and it
fired right up, so I know I did something wrong. I know I hooked it up the
way I had it on my other vehicle (which worked properly, and well), but
something could be different on the Scout.

Help!!
