Gene,
Id bet you have a leaking float valve. Look down the carb after you shut
it off. Do you see driping fuel? If so the residual pressure in the fuel
line is leaking past this valve and over flowing the fuel bowl.
Fortunately this is the easyest part to change and is included in all
rebuild kits. A better quality kit will have a spring between the float
and valve to prevent thrashing the seat when driving on rough roads.
