I'm not meaning to be defensive, but I've found in most cases Alfas are well 
thought out in terms of access and repair and therefore easy to fix.  The 
parts are well machined and designed.  I used to hate working on my wife's 
Chevy, and had 4 British cars that often showed lack of consideration for 
repair/maintenance in design.
